During the recent Covid 19 Pandemic one of the products we were routinely asked about supply was single use mix bags. Many of the large suppliers for Single Use Mixer bags had long lead times as long as 10-12 months and in addition the pricing was extremely high. MDI has launched a new single use mix bag that can fit inside any of the major suppliers manufacturing platform including Sartorius, Millipore, GE and PALL single use mixers. They have also molded the impellar designs for these platforms such that the fluid dynamics for the impellar will be similar. MDI offers a fully scaleable single use mix bag from 50 L up to 2000 L.

The Aseptiflex Bag film from MDI has been fully characterized with a full validation guide and BPOG Extractables leachables data available. We have already had several successful Beta sites test the mix bags and feedback has been positive with successful mixing of a wide variety of solutions.
